Founded in 1948, we began our life known as London Civic Employees’ Credit Union. Our goal was to give civic employees in London a different kind of financial experience. Even back then, we offered products and services similar to the big banks, with one distinct difference – our highest priority was and is ‘you’. In 2010, we changed our name to boomerang CREDIT UNION to reflect our transition from serving only civic employees to all members of the community. We are still deeply committed to our original employer bonds, including the City of London, London Hydro, London Police, London Firefighters, Thames Valley District School Board, Labatt, GM Diesel, EMD, Health Unit, Western Fair and CCAC employees.
